We see that you are interested in cheap acoustic guitars. It is normal to hunt for these guitars when you are just a beginner, or you are just testing out the waters, so to speak – when I was starting out, the guitar I bought wasn’t too expensive.

I think it was about 100 bucks or so. Of course, it is a terrible guitar, but at that time I didn’t know. And I loved it while I was playing it, so who cares.

Ok, about recommending cheap acousting guitars for YOU now…

How Cheap We Are Talking About?

In any case, in this article I will be reviewing or rather presenting you with a few acoustic guitars that can be considered as incredibly cheap. Needless to say, there are definitely much better guitars by the way I tried to narrow down the choice to those instruments that were approximately or below $200. For those people who don’t mind spending $300 and above, we recommend checking out Seagull S6 and Yamaha FG700s.

Okay, here are the inexpensive acoustic guitars that we would recommend

Jasmine By Takamine S34 Nex Single-Cutaway Acoustic Guitar (More Expensive)

This is probably one that we would recommend even for those who were looking for $300+ guitars. It really is not a deal, but a STEAL.

Rating: ★★★★½

Pros

  • A bit more expensive, but incredible quality. Some people have commented that the guitar can contest with more expensive Martins even. It is literally a STEAL considering the quality of sound, although it is up to you to decide.
  • Again, and this can be attested by many who own Jasmine S34, the sound is amazing for the price. Way above what you would expect.
  • Reliable
  • Pretty, although this is dependent on your individual tastes and fine finish.

Cons

  • May need some tweaking with the height of the action and the strings (obviously).

Jasmine By Takamine S35 Dreadnought

Much less expensive than its S34 brother, but still made by Takamine.

Rating: ★★★★¼

Pros

  • Cheap as hell. And by as hell we mean AS HELL – prices range from $60 to $150.
  • If you are a beginner, you will be satisfied with the quality of sound; however, you will soon realise that its not as cool as a good acoustic guitar can actually sound. Can be pretty rad, though, if some of the parts are tweaked/replaced (strings, bridge, the height of the action).
  • A great guitar to use “as a beater”, and as such, a great guitar for those who never owned an instrument.
  • Doesn’t get out of tune even when played continuously or left for a long time, surprisingly. you were totally not expect that from a cheap acoustic guitar.
  • Great value for the price.

Cons

  • Needs some tweaking to reach the maximum potential
  • Some say it is not very durable, although those people are few. The guitar does look like it can last up to 3 years at least. Carry it around with you with no fear – it won’t crack, get scratched easily or anything.
