While we don’t do it very often, still, we’ve decided to write a review on Yamaha fg700s acoustic guitar.
Rating:

I actually bought it two years ago when I wanted to acquire my first acoustic guitar, and it proved to be quite good instrument for beginners, like I was. To my astonishment, it actually prove to be much better than I expected it to be. Great sound quality, great design and finish the and impressive playability.
The those who don’t know, Yamaha fg700s is a six string acoustic guitar that is primarily in low to mid price range. It is thought of as a beginner guitar, but it’s safe to say that even intermediate and advanced players benefit a lot from having this instrument in their arsenal.
Sound
It wouldn’t be a good Yamaha fg700s review of the it didn’t cover the quality of sound. Well, the current sound of the guitar is a little bit better than what it sounded several years ago, which is common because most solid wood guitars do not reach their full maturity of sound until several years after being played, but the initial way the Yamaha sounded the was definitely impressive – that’s the reason why we still bought it.
The biggest grip I had with most other cheap acoustic guitars, although some of them were definitely great alternatives, was sound. I wanted the guitar is that could resonate with the whole room, and impress all the people sitting in it, so I needed a guitar that could produce a very full and resounding sound. Solid Sitka spruce top and the design of the instrument really allowed for this to be achieved. Whether you want to play hard and fast paced songs or slow melodic ballads, Yamaha fg700s will deliver.
Playability
This is a factor that is very important for beginners (and actually, for all levels of players, as we all want to have guitars for all purposes in occasions). Why would you (well, you wouldn’t) want an acoustic guitar that sounded great, but was very difficult to play with? It would only deter people from actually playing it (and enjoying it while playing it).
The traditional six strings design, the moderate weight and size of the neck all allow for incredible ease of play and effortless enjoyment of the process. I personally learned how to play it in just a few weeks. (The strings were nice, too, and although the fingers and it hurt a little bit, it wasn’t too bad compared to other guitars.)
Additional Features
Also, the guitar came with a great pack of manufacturer strings. Basically, full package, and while you may want to customise something, the initial package should be fine.
The Awesomeness
Of course, I also wanted to impress my neighbours and friends with the astounding guitar skills whenever I would decide to play the guitar in public.
While not the most important feature, it is still something not to neglect when choosing an instrument. You want something that you will want to keep even if for aesthetic purposes only. The Solid Sitka spruce, impressive finish and gloss and impressive shape and lining of the body, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone not to buy this guitar.
It certainly does not look like a beginner’s guitar – in fact, it is so classy you might easily want to leave it in your collection just for aesthetic purposes alone.
The Price
The price is the biggest grip for most would-be guitar players. When I started, I thought that anything that below $500 would be a big let down compared to the more expensive alternatives.
It turned out to be completely false – the guitar is rocks and you can find it for less than $300. Clearly, one of the better choices out ther on the market, as long as acoustic guitars are concerned. So
